heat marks on Granite (http://tanbrown.org)

Hi, I am looking for help with my Granite (http://tanbrown.org) bench top. It has got some heat marks on it from saucepans. When I got it I thought that Granite (http://tanbrown.org) was the best surface and (http://maplered.com) would not get these sorts of marks. I have mentioned it to the company who did the kitchen but they arn't very helpful. Is there anything I can do to remove them? The surface is still shiny but in the sun the rings can be seen. I was told to try car cutting polish but it made no difference, although I only did it lightly as was afraid I might make things worse. can anyone help me please.
